Oxford University Predates the Aztec Empire
Oxford was teaching students 330 years before the Aztec Empire even existed.
The University of Oxford in England began teaching students as early as 1096, though the exact founding date is unknown. What we do know is that by 1249, the university was well-established with its college system. In contrast, the Aztec Empire wasn't founded until 1428, with the formation of the Triple Alliance.
This means Oxford had been educating students for over 330 years before the Aztec Empire even came into existence. It's a fascinating reminder of how ancient some of our modern institutions really are.
