"Sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia" is the scientific term for brain freeze.
I believe this translates to "Slow down when eating ice cream". I may be wrong though

At any rate, when something cold touches the roof of your mouth, the sudden temperature change stimulates nerves to cause rapid dilation and swelling of blood vessels. This is your body's attempt to direct blood to the area and warm it back up. The dilation of the blood vessels triggers pain receptors, which release pain-causing prostaglandins, increase sensitivity to further pain, and produce inflammation while sending signals through the trigeminal nerve to alert the brain to the problem.
In short, because the roof of your mouth got too cold too quick, it causes the sharp pain we all know as a brain freeze. This is why the best way to get rid of the pain is to warm up the roof of your mouth as fast as possible...some people put their tongue on the roof of their mouth to accomplish this, others drink warm water, but the goal is the same, to warm up the roof of your mouth and to stop the pain.

In 1988, scientist Nancy Knight was studying snow samples from a storm in Wausau, Wisconsin. Under a microscope, she found two snowflakes that were virtually identical — both hollow column crystals with matching structures.
The discovery made headlines worldwide and earned a Guinness World Record. Turns out, snowflakes can only form into about 35 distinct shapes
