Thomas Edison Didn't Invent the Lightbulb
Your teacher lied to you.
Humphry Davy created the first electric light in 1802. Joseph Swan built a working lightbulb prototype in 1860 — almost 20 years before Edison.
Edison just improved on their work and was the first to patent a version that was practical and affordable.
He was a great businessman. But "inventor of the lightbulb"? Not even close.
You've been giving credit to the wrong guy for decades.
💡= Not Edison
